First off, thank you for visiting my blog and also checking out my website to find out a little more about me.

This blog is a combination of who I am as a person and who I am as a professional. I hope you have as much fun here as I’ve had creating it.

I have a background in counseling, computers, and sales. I started off in college taking counseling and was volunteering in a few places that dealt with various addictions. My grandmother however believed that computers were the future and convinced me to switch to Computer Information systems (CIS). I was one of the top of my class and ended up as a corporate computer salesman for 3 1/2 years.

Here I used some of my counseling background and my computer skills combined. I ended up in the top 20% of the sales force month after month for just over 3 years and then the company tried to expand too fast and went out of business.

I took on a new challenge as the manager of a non-profit organization and  helped people with all sorts of addictions. I was there for just over 3 years as well and then took some stress leave as it was incredibly demanding.

I took some time to travel which is something I love to do. I enjoy meeting new people, trying new foods, and learning about different cultures all over the world.

When I came back I built up a meat and seafood business from scratch and again after about 3 years sold the company.

Then I invested some money into a rental property in a small village called Lillooet in the Rocky Mountains up in the Great White North. After a couple years of being a landlord I realized it was definitely not my calling.

I took some more time to explore the world for a while. I met amazing people, tried many different foods, and hung out on some beaches around the world. Even though I was in some of the most beautiful parts of the world my heart was burdened at all the poverty and I really felt I needed to do something. I realized I couldn’t change the whole world but maybe I could make a small difference. I wasn’t sure how at the time but it really rented a lot of space in my head. What baffled me was even though I saw incredible amounts of poverty stricken places the people were incredibly friendly and always had a smile.

After coming back to Canada I was definitely not the same man I was before. I started doing research into Social Enterprise which can be defined as:

An organization that applies business strategies to achieving philanthropic goals. Social enterprise can be structured as a for-profit or non-profit.

After much research I decided I was going to become a Social Entrepreneur Coach which is what I am still focused on today. Today my life has purpose as I am focused on feeding starving children around the world which is something I am very passionate about. I partnered up with some amazing people and together we are making a small difference to a large problem – world hunger.

I am also focused on teaching my skills to others who have a desire to make a difference in the world while still being able to feed their own families. When your earning income doing something you are absolutely passionate about you not only enjoy and look forward to each and every day but the income seems to be a bonus instead of the focus. the more you give the more you receive right? I am living proof of that as are so many others I have the privilege to work with.

With that I will just say that I feel truly blessed to be a small part of so many people successes.

Yours in service,
